El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, no tardó en criticar el anuncio del gobierno de Rusia sobre que habían patentado una vacuna contra el coronavirus, afirmando que en el proceso de desarrollo se “saltó ciertos ensayos” y que eso no sucederá en ninguna de las vacunas que sean creadas por empresas estadounidenses.
Trump dijo: "No sabemos mucho sobre ella, esperamos que funcione, de verdad, esperamos que funcione. (Pero) se saltaron ciertos ensayos, y nosotros creemos que es importante atravesar todo el proceso". Igualmente, no es el único en mostrarse escéptico sobre la veracidad de los testeos rusos y la efectividad de su vacuna, con varios expertos de diversas partes del mundo apuntaron contra el gobierno de Vladimir Putin por no dar más información sobre el desarrollo y los testeos realizados.
El director de los Institutos Nacionales de Salud, Francis Collins, comparó ayer con una "ruleta rusa" la decisión de los desarrolladores de la vacuna en Rusia de saltarse lo que describió como "partes fundamentales" del proceso de aprobación.
